According to new regulations with the article 8, no 47/2014/QH2013  of entry & exit Vietnam for foreigners, which valid from 01 January 2015, there will be the following changes to names of kinds & types of Vietnam visa as:

1. Visa code NG1 is the visa which is granted  for visitors of Vietnam  Communist Party’s General Secretary,  visitors of Vietnam Communist party’s President, visitors of  President of the National Assembly and visitors of Prime Minister. 
2. Visa code NG2 is the visa which is granted  for visitors of The Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, visitors of Vice President, visitors of Vice President of the National Assembly and visitors of Vice Prime Minister, visitors of Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, visitors of Chief Justice of Vietnam Supreme People’s Course, visitors of Director of Supreme People's Procuratorate of Vietnam, visitors of State Audit; for those who is similar level of Ministers, visitors of Provincial & Municipal Party Committee Secretary, visitors of President of People’s Committee, visitors of Chairman of Provincial & Municipal People’s Committee.
3. Visa code NG3 is the visa which is granted  for members Embassies, Consulates, United Nations Organization, Inter-governmental Organizations and wife, husband, children (below 18 years old), helpers of these citizens following their working term.
4. Visa code NG4 is the visa which is granted for visitors to come to work with Embassies, Consulates, United Nations Organization, Inter-governmental Organizations.
5. Visa code LV1 is the visa which is granted for visitors to come to work with Offices, Departments, Organizations and Committees of Vietnam Communist Party like; National Assembly. Government,  Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vietnam Supreme People’s Course, Supreme People's Procuratorate of Vietnam,  State Audit Office of Vietnam, Ministries, Ministerial Offices, Governmental Organs; Province, Municipal, People’s Committee, Provincial & Municipal People’s Committee
6. Visa code LV2 is the visa which is granted for visitors to work with Social & Political organizations, Social organizations, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
7. Visa code ĐT is the visa which is granted for oversea investors in Vietnam, oversea lawyers work in Vietnam.
8. Visa code DN is the visa which is granted for visitors to work with Enterprises of Vietnam.
9. Visa code NN1 is the visa which is granted for Chief of Representative Offices of international organizations, None Government Office in Vietnam.
10. Visa code NN2 is the visa which is granted for leaders of representative offices, branches  of oversea traders, representative offices of oversea organizations of economic, cultural  and other specialities in Vietnam.
11. Visa code NN3 is the visa which is granted for those who enter Vietnam to work for oversea none government organizations, oversea representative offices, oversea trader’s branches, oversea representative offices of economic, culture & other specialties in Vietnam.
12. Visa code DH is the visa which is granted for those who enter Vietnam to practice and study.
13. Visa code HN is the visa which is granted for those who enter Vietnam to attend conferences and workshops
14. Visa code PV1 is the visa which is granted for press reporters resist in Vietnam.
15. Visa code PV2 is the visa which is granted for short term working reporters in Vietnam.
16. Visa code LĐ is the visa which is granted for foreigners to come to Vietnam to work.
17. Visa code DL is the visa which is granted for  tourists and travelers to Vietnam.
18. Visa code TT is the visa which is granted for foreigners who are wives, husbands, children under 18 years old of those who has granted visa code LV1, LV2, ĐT, NN1, NN2, DH, PV1, LĐ above or foreigners who are fathers, mothers, wives, husbands or children of Vietnamese citizens.
19. Visa code VR is the visa which is granted for those who enter Vietnam to visit relatives or other purposes.
20. Visa code SQ is the visa which is granted for other cases followed clause 3 article 17 of Immigration Laws.
